JULIA MARGARET "MAGGIE" NEEDHAM BURTON,
81, of Stephenville, TX passed away Oct. 21, 2018,
with burial in Evergreen cemetery at Ranger, TX.
Margaret was born Feb. 14, 1937 in Ranger to the
late W.W. Needham & Loyce Virginia Andrew Needham.
She attended Ranger High School in the Class of
1955. Maggie was a proud flight attendant for
United Airlines in the early days of aviation.
She later received both a Bachelor and Master of
Education from Tarleton State University and then
worked as a teacher at Morgan Mill ISD for 29 years.
Maggie lived for many years in both Ranger & Santa
Barbara, CA and had lived in Stephenville for 41
years. She was a member at First Baptist Church
in Stephenville. Maggie joined the Stephenville
Hospital Auxiliary in 2010, actively serving until
2014. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels for four
years. She was very active at the Senior Citizen
Center for 11 years, where she enjoyed line dancing
and playing 42 and 84.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter,
Jill Renee Burton of Nashville, TN; son, Robert
Wells Burton & wife Frances of Hazlet, NJ; sister,
Patsy Beth Needham (RHS-1953) of Haslet, TX; niece,
Diana Maston and husband Bruce of Haslet; nephew,
Philip Blackmon and wife Tyra of Haslet; and many
more loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister,
Minnie Eloise Needham; and brother, Donald Wells
Needham (RHS-1949).
