RICKEY WAYNE SPEER, 53, of Ranger, TX passed
away peacefully on March 12, 2026, surrounded by
his loving family.
Rickey was born on Jan. 4, 1973, in Brownwood, TX.
He was raised in Ranger, where he spent his life
and built deep roots in the community he proudly
called home. He attending Ranger High School in
the Class of 1991.
Rickey will be remembered for his love of life
and for the people closest to him. He found great
joy in riding his Harley, especially when taking
his beloved Teresa along for the ride. Above all,
he cherished the time he spent with his girls,
Sarah, and Daisy, as well as the many friendships
he held dear. Rickey had a deep love for Jesus,
wide open spaces, & the simple, meaningful moments
spent with his family at the farm?places where
he felt closest to both his loved ones and his
faith.
He is survived by his parents, Jesse and Lenora
Speer; his sisters, Lisa Speer Morrow (RHS-1989)
and Miranda Garcia; his brother, J Speer; his
children, Sarah, Daisy, and Tyler; and the love
of his life, Teresa Bowles. He also leaves behind
many other family members and friends who will
miss him dearly.
Rickey's memory will live on in the hearts of all
who knew and loved him, and we find comfort in
knowing he is at peace in the presence of his
Savior. A private family gathering will be held
to honor Rickey's life, where his ashes will be
spread at the family farm?a place he loved and
called home.?Therefore, there is now no condemnation
for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through
Christ Jesus the Spirit who gives life has set you
