RONALD DEAN BUSH of Fritch, TX was called home
on Dec. 27, 2025, after a long courageous battle with
cancer. He was surrounded by love and will deeply be
missed by all who knew him.
Born to Thomas L Bush & Elizabeth (Shelton) Bush on
August 20, 1937, in Ranger, TX. Ron graduated from
Ranger High School in 1955 and loved coaching Pony
League baseball, an experience that sparked his love
for the game. He was a devoted Texas Rangers fan,
and he took great joy in watching them finally win
the World Series in 2023.
Ron proudly served in the U.S. Navy, an experience
that shaped his strong work ethic, sense of duty,
and lifelong pride in service. He carried those
values with him throughout his life and into his
role as a devoted father, family member, & friend.
He devoted 21 years to Phillips 66 where he not
only built a successful career but also formed many
friendships.
Along with his passion for hunting, he enjoyed spending
time on the golf course & bowling in competitive leagues.
He loved visiting with those he loved and oh, the many
crops he harvested on Farmville.
One of his greatest companions was his beloved dog, Sadie,
who quickly took the #1 spot in his heart much to the
amusement of his three girls.
He is survived by his wife, of 25 years and 3 loving
daughters: Lisa Dobbs and husband Larry. Their 3 children:
daughter, Libby Bottorff and husband Rickey, son Kalvin
Dobbs and daughter Caytie Stephenson and husband Craig.
8 Grandchildren: Jayton, Dylan, Taygen, Rhyan, Cohen,
Wyatt, Sophia, and Emmett Dean, Vicki Bredemeier and
husband Troy along with 2 children, Zach McKinley and
Cambree Wrether, Kelli Richardson and husband Troy with
their 3 children, Lauren Shelton, Stephen Shelton and
Nikki Richardson. 3 Grandchildren: Jayden, Kyler & Phillip.
He was preceded in death by his Mother and Father and was
the last remaining sibling of Ima Lois Dreinhofer (Sis),
Bernice Bush Walthall, Durwood Bush (RHS-1936), Lucille
Bush, Audrey Faye Bush (Tootsie) Rose (RHS-1940), Billie
Jean Bush Reed, Joyce Marie Bush Stroope, JM Sonny Bush
(RHS-1949), Thomas L Bush Jr (TL, RHS-1951), & Dee Rawls.
Above all else, Ron will be remembered for his kind heart,
sense of humor, strength, and orneriness and for the love
he shared with his family. His presence, guidance, & many
stories will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
